Digital Filmmaking (12 wk Evening)
Students who choose this innovative course will learn through both classroom teaching and all important practical ‘hands on’ experience how to shoot on High Definition digital camera’s and edit on Final Cut Studio.
The course will cover the fundamentals of directing actors and the art of visual storytelling as well as exploiting modern techniques. Students will produce their own projects which will rise in intensity as the course progresses and learn the techniques of white balancing, shutter speed and varied camera angles.
All potential film makers will learn to Write , Shoot, Direct and Edit their own projects. Work in 4 person crews over 3wk ends during the 12 wks, where each will rotate through all crucial crew positions.
At the end of the course students will have the opportunity to screen their projects before family and friends as well as receive a digital master-copy of their work for inclusion in their portfolios. And receive the all important Certificate from the Irish Film Academy.
