It is because they are honest and simple and don’t lay on complications that aren’t necessary”.
For the first time in Ireland The Irish Film Academy will teach its students this extraordinary technique.
Sanford Meisner wrote ‘actors are not guinea pigs to be manipulated or dissected but to be let alone in a purely organic way’.
The Academy’s intensive course requires complete commitment from its students who will be guided by experienced tutors through the Technique. The full resources of the Academy will be placed at the disposal of students who will have the opportunity to work and test themselves on live shoots through out the course.
Students will leave the Academy with a solid training in Good Acting for film, a DVD of their work and a Certificate from the Irish Film Academy as well as meeting valued Industry professionals. And most importantly an understanding that to be a Great Actor, one must have the “Courage to leave themselves alone”, and the “Commitment to give it their all”.
Duration Of Course: 12 weeks – 2 Nights per week or 1 night per week- 6 to 8pm or 7-9pm.
Price: €850 for 2nights or €450 for 1night.
